Our Services

  bullet_red.gif (277 bytes) Overview
In the recent years, more and more Vietnamese students came to study in the United States. Still, this number is so small in compare with the number of students from other Asian countries. In fact the difficulties for the majority of our students besides the scarcity of the standard tests are the lack of information on the U.S. universities and the unpopularity of Vietnamese education system.
To help in overcoming the first two factors mentioned previously, we established a forum to provide information, guidance and reference to Vietnamese students. By this, we also would like other people to join us to help them accomplish their academic merit.

From our own experience and information collected, the U.S Study Guide is a comprehensive guidance for Vietnamese students in applying to the U.S. universities. This work provides step-by-step guidelines in:
- Choosing universities/colleges,
- Applying for financial supports,
- Getting help from organizations,
- Registering and preparing for the standard tests,
- Preparing application forms, and
- Preparing for the trip to the United States.

bullet_red.gif (277 bytes) Information on Available Positions/Financial Aids
We gather up and post here information on the available academic positions (research assistantships, teaching assistantship) and financial aids for Vietnamese students. The information normally goes along with special assistance from Vietnamese student(s) who studied or studying at the offering institution or Vietnamese students are chosen and/or preferred.
We also encourage organizations, schools and individuals that have the relevant information to share it here. All the postings will be published on this Web site as well as on the US Guide mailing list and weekly newsletters.

Supported by the U.S. Committee for Scientific Cooperation with Vietnam, we  answer questions and offer advice related to application process in the U.S. Guide mailing list.
To save the money for the users that have to pay for their e-mail services according to the sending and receiving volume, we offer Weekly Newsletters as an alternative. These newsletters contain the summary of important discussions, suggestions as well as other information and tips. The previous newsletters are listed on a News Achieve.

bullet_red.gif (277 bytes) Personal Helps
In addition to the information services listed above, we offer personal helps to prospective students in application process. To provide efficient assistance, students applying to any major field will by supported by a group of members working or studying in that field. Currently, we have the following support groups:
- Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc.),
- Engineering (Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Enviromental Engineering, etc.), and
- Economics and Business Administration.

However, we need more help to share the workload, provide better service and cover the other fields, namely
- Social Study (English, Laws, Foreign Affairs, etc.)
- Others (Medical, Agriculture, etc.)

We invite interested people, especially Vietnamese students studying in the United States to join us in this meaningful work.
